Are you a trainer planning a workshop on Integrated Urban Water Management (IUWM)? Preparing a training session on a specific urban water management issue? In these pages, you will find material relating to relevant topics, such as:
- IUWM in general
- Stakeholder involvement
- Water supply
- Stormwater management
- Wastewater management
- Decision-support tools
The trainer materials are arranged according to the structure of the SWITCH Training Kit modules. For each module, you will find:
- PowerPoint presentations, containing key points, explanatory notes, diagrams, images, etc…
- Suggestions for exercises – mainly in a group format – including instructions on how to run them
How to use the materials
Although the materials have been grouped so that they are easier to find, trainers are encouraged to be flexible and to pick and choose according to the purposes of the training and the interests of participants. After all, good training is always tailored to its participants!
These materials have been produced based on the assumption that the training session will be delivered to participants from one particular city. For example, the exercises relate to the realities of that city, and therefore to the local conditions and concerns of participants.
